I know you're heard from thousands of people about your videos, but I wanted to add my thanks to you for creating the YFS series.
I'm 55 years old, was a competitive surfer as a teenager, and have always suffered from sciatic pain, especially as I got older.
I tried everything western medicine has to offer to correct the pain but nothing, even daily doses of morphine, could eradicate it.

But now, in addition to doing Yoga for Surfers before and after surfing, I've been doing the post-surf session routine every night before going to bed and it has been a lifesaver.

This 30 minutes of yoga each night has transformed my evening routine from a desperate search for pain relief to a relaxing, meditative experience I cherish. With the lights low it is the perfect pre-sleep routine. And, yes, my surfing, mental outlook, and overall fitness continue to improve. 

I just wanted to thank you for the peaceful hours of sleep I get and the renewed flexibility and vitality I feel.

I was having major problems with my knees for about five years, spent thousands in doctor and therapy bills, had four shots of cortisone and was very depressed.
I'm only 33. I'd been to a yoga class near my home, but it felt like an aerobics class.
I prefer being solo in my home. I used the Yoga for Surfers program, fell in love with it because it didn't make me feel dorky, and used it daily for months.
I was able to get rid of my knee problems because of it by becoming more aware of what was going on in my body and how it affected my knees.

Hi Peggy 
Prior to starting your program I was starting to spend a bit of time at the physio with lower back and stiffness through the hips.
I now feel so much freer and have no pain I have even gotten rid of that horrible neck and shoulder pain from long days in the water.
I am 54 and feel like I am surfing stronger than ever We just got back from a 10 day boat trip in the Maldives spending 5 to 8 hours a day in the water no anti inflammatories required and kept up with the young guys. My only regret is that I didn't start years ago.
PS I noticed that you had a Dahlberg board in one of your DVDs I have a 7'0" pintail that Rod made for me and its a favourite when it gets big.

P.S. I have told a lot of my friends about your program. The only problem with us older guys is that they would sooner suffer rather than try something new.
Men are not that smart, but as they surf less and less due to injuries and lack of motivation.
I still surf as much as I did when I was much younger. I still ride short performance boards (6'0" 6'2" 6'4" etc) I love YFS
