What you eat affects how well you surf.
We all know that junk food has no place in a surfer’s meal routine…
But what are good “grab-and-go” snacks to have before and after surfing?
Sometimes it seems easier to grab a cup of coffee and a pastry — but that is only going to deplete your energy rather than fuel it.
I strive to include four components of a satisfying pre and post-surf snack.

Surf Snack Smoothie
1 cup organic almond milk
1 cup frozen organic cherries
1 handful raw, organic spinach
1 serving vegan protein powder (I like Orgain brand) OR 1 cup plain yogurt
1 tablespoon almond butter
add some ice cubes if you like it thicker
blend everything up in high power blender and ENJOY!! ~ Peggy
